"Serena is a down to earth, junk food snacking, quick thinking, excitement seeking, independent female sleuth. The type of person you would love to share a pizza with." --Renie Dugwyler, Reviewer for About.com CAMP CONVICTION (ISBN 0-9666919-2-X) is the third, and final, book in the Serena Wilcox Mysteries, a series of three books written by Natalie Buske Thomas. The original plan was to continue on with at least a fourth title, Shed Secrets, but it was later decided to write that title as a stand-alone at some point in the future. Serena's latest case involves sending her sleuthing partner Karyn to a strange and potentially dangerous camp, tracking down a stalker on the Internet, and searching for clues in a place that will make claustrophobics cringe. CAMP CONVICTION is a fast, fun read. Another stay-up-all-night-to-finish-it book by Natalie Buske Thomas. This is a perfect book for taking on vacation since you are likely to finish the last chapter by the time your flight home is safely on the ground. CAMP CONVICTION is the third effort by author Natalie Buske Thomas, and is in trade paperback size. CAMP CONVICTION brings further character development to Serena Wilcox, the pizza-loving detective: the female PI character that became the three-book Serena Wilcox mystery series. CAMP CONVICTION was reviewed by the Library Journal. Natalie gained wider distribution as a result of the LJ review, which resulted in more opportunities. Natalie contributed to several books published by major imprints, alongside well-known authors (i.e. The "Confessions of Shameless" series featured authors such as Mark Victor Hansen, of Chicken Soup for the Soul fame and the "Helping of Murder" series featured authors such as Sue Grafton and Dick Francis). Natalie Buske Thomas' road to publication was featured in an interview by Rosedog.com: Featured Author and Interview: Rosedog.com "From Rejection to Oprah" Interview: The Charlotte Austin Review Hosted by the Library and Archives of Canada Book Review: Harriet Klausner "Because of the amusement in the air and the talent of Natalie Buske Thomas, the characters seem more real than those found in a drop-dead grave who-done-it. This is a one sitting novel that must be read with pizza to fully absorb the works." Book Review: Susan Ives Book Reviews of Mysteries & Thrillers with a Computer Theme "a Nancy Drew turns thirty caper, with surprisingly good computer details. Jill's experience on the 'women over 30' chat room, where a con man studies her postings to create a sympathetic female buddy, is a harrowing warning about the often false intimacy of the Internet. The author is a gutsy young mother who started her own publishing company when the established presses brushed her off and developed a loyal following. A quick, fun read." Author Panel "Female Sleuths - Equal or Superior?" "Finally, female sleuths are becoming more common in both police procedurals and P.I. novels. Does a female sleuth have more problems investigating a case? What special appeal does a female sleuth have for readers? Is the plot handled differently if the protagonist is female? Find out what these writers think."
